News from the Dealers:
The all-new 2027 Kia EV3 made its North American debut at the NY International Auto Show, setting a new benchmark as the most attainable model in Kia’s growing electric vehicle lineup, which includes the popular EV6 and EV9 models. 10-80% DC fast charging is possible in as little as 29 minutes and the car will travel 320mi on a charge.
Subaru now has 4 EVs and the 2027 Getaway is the largest one of the bunch with three-rows and can seat 7. With dual-motor all-wheel drive and a 95.8-kWh battery, the Subaru Getaway has a manufacturer-estimated range of over 300 miles and can go 0-60 in under 5 seconds.
Used Electric Vehicles: More Popular Than Ever!
Used EV sales in the US hit a wholesale record in Q1 as off-lease supply grows fast, pushing more affordable electric cars into the market. Cox Automotive estimates that more than 100,000 used EVs were sold at retail in Q1, making it the second-strongest quarter on record. The only higher mark came in Q3 2025, when buyers rushed to lock in government-backed incentives before they expired.
Charging News
In the coming weeks, Penfield will have new fast chargers behind the restaurants on 250 across from Target! This is a great location since there are so many folks living in apartments nearby. (They are probably not able to install chargers at home.) There are 2 stations, with 4 CCS1 plugs. Grab a coffee at Panera or appetizers at Jeremiah's while you wait!
Google Maps Is Bringing EV Route Planning to Android Auto. The feature will take the guesswork out of planning an EV road trip for over 350 models across at least 15 brands.
