Here in Penfield, electricity is approximately 70% carbon-free: hydroelectric, nuclear, and renewables - solar and wind. This is already one of the cleanest grids in the country, AND we are working towards 100% carbon-free through Community Choice Aggregation. We should Go-Electric every way we can!

36% of NY State's greenhouse gas emissions are due to the transportation sector. In order to meet the aggressive emission reduction goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act of 2019, incentives are already in place to help New Yorkers choose electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid vehicles. NYSERDA offers $2,000 towards the purchase or lease of a new EV or Plug-In Hybrid. The federal government's incentive is up to $7,500.
